I. Tournament Format
We believe in more play and less waiting. Our "Sprint" format is strictly limited to 16 teams to ensure a high-density competitive experience.
Group Stage: Teams are divided into 4 pools of 4 teams each. You will play a Round Robin within your pool (3 games guaranteed).
The Knockout: The Top 2 finishers from each pool advance to the Quarter-Finals.
The Bracket: From the Quarter-Finals onward, it is single elimination until we crown our champion.
⬇️
II. Scoring Format
To keep the energy high and the matches moving, we utilize a Hybrid Scoring System:
Pool Play, Quarters, & Semis: Rally Scoring to 21 (Win by 2, capped at 30).
*Note: A point is scored on every rally. Teams switch sides when the first team reaches 11 points.
The Podium Matches (Finals & 3rd Place): Traditional Scoring to 15 (Win by 2, no cap). The battle for the medals returns to traditional pickleball scoring to ensure the highest level of strategy.
The 'Let Serve' rule is in effect for all matches: any serve that touches the net cord and lands in the correct box must be replayed.

VII. Registration & Cancellation Policy
To maintain the high quality and small-scale nature of the Kitchen Masters Series, we require all players to adhere to the following:
Payment to Confirm: Your spot is not guaranteed until the full entrance fee is received. Registration without payment will be moved to the waitlist after 24 hours.
Cancellation Policy: We understand plans change; however, due to our limited 16-player capacity, no refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 7 days of the competition start date.
Waitlist: If an event is full, you may join the waitlist. If a spot opens up, you will be notified in the order you signed up.
⬇️
VIII. Weather & Scheduling
Rain/Inclement Weather: In the event of rain or unsafe court conditions, the Kitchen Masters Series reserves the right to reschedule the competition to a later date. All registered players will have their entries automatically transferred to the new date.
⬇️
IX. Health & Liability Waiver
Personal Responsibility: By registering for the Kitchen Masters Series, players acknowledge that pickleball is a physical activity and participate at their own risk.
Liability: Players are responsible for their own health and physical well-being. The organizers, staff, and venue are not responsible for any injuries, medical emergencies, or health issues sustained during the event. We encourage all players to warm up properly and stay hydrated.
⬇️
X. Code of Conduct: Self-Officiating & Fair Play
To maintain the professional spirit of the Kitchen Masters Series, all matches are self-officiated. Players are expected to uphold the highest standards of integrity.
Line Calls: Players are responsible for calling lines on their side of the court. All "Out" calls must be made loudly and clearly. A hand signal (lifting a finger) is not sufficient and if the call is not heard by your opponent, the ball is considered "In."
Scoring Clarity: The server must announce the full score loudly before every serve. Do not use shortcuts. * Example: Say "Eleven-Nine-One," not "One-Nine-One." If the score is not called correctly or clearly, do not serve.
Disputes: We are here to play, not to argue. If a disagreement occurs regarding a line call or a rule:
1. Replay the Point: If both sides cannot reach an immediate agreement, the point is replayed.
2. Request a Volunteer Official: If the dispute continues, players may request a tournament organizer or volunteer to step in and officiate the remainder of the match. But let’s work together to ensure we don't let it reach that stage, please.
Integrity: In the spirit of the Kitchen Masters, always give the benefit of the doubt to your opponent on close calls.
⬇️
XI. DUPR & Official Ratings
To ensure future events remain fair and properly tiered, all match scores will be submitted to DUPR.
Every game you play in the Kitchen Masters Series will contribute to your official global rating, helping to build a more accurate and competitive landscape for the local community.
To be eligible for participation, all players must have a registered DUPR account that is successfully synced to their Reclub profile, as this is mandatory for score validation and official results.
⬇️
XII. Late Arrival & Forfeiture Policy
To maintain our strict 3-hour tournament schedule, punctuality is essential. Please adhere to the following timing rules:
10-Minute Grace Period: Matches will be called at their scheduled times. If a player or team is not present and ready to play within 10 minutes of the match being called, it will result in an automatic forfeit.
Forfeit & No-Show Scoring: In the event of a forfeit, late arrival exceeding 10 minutes, or a no-show, the match will be recorded as a loss for the absent party. The opponent will be awarded a maximum win score of 21-0 (for Rally Scoring rounds) or 15-0 (for Traditional Scoring rounds) to ensure the bracket and point standings remain accurate.
Withdrawal During Play: If a player must withdraw during a match due to injury or other reasons, the current score will stand, and the remaining points needed for the win will be awarded to the opponent.
