🎯 ELIGIBILITY – NOVICE DIVISION

This tournament is strictly for true novice players.

Eligibility criteria:
- 🔢 Combined team DUPR: ≤ 5.5
- 👤 Maximum individual DUPR: ≤ 3.0
- 🆕 NR (Not Rated) players are accepted
- 🚫 Players with obvious or intentional DUPR manipulation may be rejected

📌 The combined DUPR cap of 5.5 includes a minimal buffer to account for minor rating fluctuations. Any team with a combined DUPR of 5.5 and above will be deemed ineligible.

DUPR eligibility is assessed based on match activity and reliability from the last 3 months, not just the displayed rating.

The organiser reserves the right to verify DUPR profiles and playing history before and during the event.

All eligibility decisions are final.

🚫 Disqualification due to ineligibility will result in no refund.

⚖️ GENDER PARTICIPATION & HANDICAP POLICY

This is a gender-open tournament.

👩 Women’s Doubles Handicap
- Matches to 15 points: +2 starting points
- Matches to 21 points (Final & 3rd/4th): +3 starting points

👥 Mixed Doubles
- No automatic handicap
- The organiser reserves the right to apply a discretionary +1 starting point handicap where there is a clear imbalance

All handicap decisions are final and non-negotiable.


🧮 MATCH RULES & SCORING

Group Stage, R16, Quarterfinals, Semifinals
- 1 game to 15 points
- Rally scoring
- Sudden death at 14–14

Final & 3rd/4th Placing
- 1 game to 21 points
- Rally scoring
- Sudden death at 20–20

🧑‍⚖️ OFFICIATING & DISPUTES

- ✅ All matches from group stage onwards will be umpired
- Line calls and scorekeeping handled by assigned umpires
- Players must respect umpire decisions at all times
Organiser’s decision is final in all disputes

⏱️ GAMEPLAY & MATCH CONDUCT

Teams must report to the assigned court on time

- ⏰ More than 5 minutes late = automatic walkover
- 🧘 1-minute warm-up allowed if time permits
- 🎾 1 test serve per player before match start
- From semifinals onwards: 1 × 30-second timeout per team


🚫 CONDUCT & DISCIPLINARY ACTION

Any form of aggressive behaviour, verbal abuse, unsportsmanlike conduct, or disrespect towards opponents, officials, volunteers, or venue staff may result in match forfeiture or immediate disqualification.

❌ No refunds will be issued for removals due to misconduct.

🩺 HEALTH, SAFETY & LIABILITY

- 🩹 First aid kit available on-site
- 🚑 No medical personnel or ambulance on standby
- Players must ensure personal fitness to participate
- Warm-up and stretching are strongly encouraged
- By registering, participants accept full responsibility for their health and safety and waive liability against the organiser, venue, and partners

📸 MEDIA & CONTENT RIGHTS

By registering, all participants grant the organiser the right to capture photos and videos during the event and use them for promotional, marketing, social media, and archival purposes without compensation.

📌 ORGANISER RIGHTS & FINAL AUTHORITY

The organiser reserves the right to verify eligibility, reject or remove players, modify the schedule or format, and cancel or postpone the event if required.
All organiser decisions are final and binding.
