Concept Overview
A strategic mixed-team pickleball league designed to balance skill, gender inclusion, and competitive gameplay.

📘 Official Competition Rules

1️⃣ GENERAL OVERVIEW

Team-based pickleball competition designed to ensure:
• Fair play through DUPR limits
• Balanced gender participation
• Strategic match formats

Each team competes in a round-robin league system, where all teams play against each other.

2️⃣ TEAM COMPOSITION

Each team must consist of:
• 👨 2 Male Players
• 👩 2 Female Players

Total: 4 players per team (no substitutions allowed mid-event unless approved by organizer)

3️⃣ PLAYER ELIGIBILITY (DUPR RULES)

To maintain fairness:
• Maximum DUPR per player: 3.5
• Maximum combined team DUPR: 12.99
• Players with No Rating (NR) will be counted as 2.5 DUPR

📌 Organizer reserves the right to verify all player ratings.

4️⃣ COMPETITION FORMAT
• Total Teams: 10
• Format: Round Robin
• Matches per Team: 9 matches

Each team plays every other team once.

5️⃣ MATCH FORMAT

Each match will follow:
• Game to 30 points
• Must win by 2 points
• Maximum cap: 35 points

📌 Example:
• 30–29 → Continue
• 35–34 → Game ends
6️⃣ LINEUP & ROTATION RULES

🔁 Lineup Structure:
• Teams may arrange any pairing before match start
• Once match begins → lineup is LOCKED

🔄 Mandatory Rotation:
• At 15 points, teams must switch lineup

📌 No changes allowed after match starts except injury (see Rule 11)

7️⃣ SCORING SYSTEM (LEAGUE STANDINGS)
• Win → 3 points
• Loss → 0 points


8️⃣ RANKING CRITERIA

Final standings will be determined by:
1. Total League Points
2. Score Difference (Points For – Points Against)
3. Head-to-Head Result (if tied)

9️⃣ MATCH TIMING & FLOW
• Each match duration: 20 minutes (estimated)
• Each round:
• Matches played simultaneously on 5 courts
• Followed by 10-minute break

👉 Total per round: 30 minutes

🔟 COURT ASSIGNMENT
• Matches will be assigned to Courts 1–5
• Court allocation is fixed per round
• Teams must report to assigned court 5 minutes before start

1️⃣1️⃣ INJURY / SUBSTITUTION RULE
• No substitutions allowed during event
• Exception: Injury
• Replacement must not exceed DUPR rules
• Must be approved by organizer


1️⃣2️⃣ LATE ARRIVAL / WALKOVER
• 5-minute grace period allowed
• If team fails to appear:
• Opponent wins 30–0
• Winning team awarded +3 points


1️⃣3️⃣ SPORTSMANSHIP & CONDUCT

All players must:
• Respect opponents, referees, and organizers
• Avoid unsportsmanlike conduct

🚫 Violations may result in:
• Point penalty
• Match forfeiture
• Disqualification

1️⃣4️⃣ DISPUTES & DECISIONS
• All disputes must be raised immediately
• Organizer’s decision is final

1️⃣5️⃣ SCORE SUBMISSION
• Match results must be submitted immediately after game
• Team captain is responsible

📌 Failure to submit may delay standings update

1️⃣6️⃣ EQUIPMENT & ATTIRE
• Approved pickleball paddles only
• Proper sports attire required
• Non-marking court shoes mandatory

Each round follows:
1. Match Start (20 mins)

4. Next Round
