Welcome to the KITCHEN SHOWDOWN Tanders Edition where pickleball players 60 years old and above compete in their own tournament.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND WAIVER
By participating in the KITCHEN SHOWDOWN Tanders Edition, you acknowledge and agree that:
1. You are physically, mentally, and psychologically healthy to participate in a pickleball tournament.
2. You accept all risks associated with the sport, including but not limited to slips, falls, and collisions.
3. You release the tournament organizers and its partners from any liabilities to injuries, accidents, or loss of personal properties.
4. You will use USAPA approved paddle/s only.
5. Pictures and videos will be taken by the organizers and their partners for marketing purposes.

PARTICIPATION FEE
An entry fee of P 3,000 per team per category must be sent on or before April 27, 2026. The GCash QR code will be sent through the Chat tab of this meet. Screenshots of the transaction confirmation are requested to be sent to the Chat tab as well.

FORMAT
Teams will be randomly grouped into pools and they will play a single round robin within their pool. The top 2 teams will advance to the semifinals where the #1s will play the #2s of the other pool. Losers will play for 3rd Place while the winners will play for 2nd and 1st Places.

SCORING
The team to earn 11 points wins the match. It'll be regular scoring, sudden death for the round robin, semifinals, and finals.

REFEREES
Referees are responsible for scorekeeping, calling faults (service, NVZ, and rule violations), and pace of the game.

Players are expected to be honest and show good sportsmanship when making line calls on their side of the court and respect the opposing team’s line calls on their side of the court. Calls from spectators are strongly discouraged. Referees will dismiss spectators making line calls after one warning. Videos from spectators aren't official and therefore won’t be entertained.

As a guide, players shall not call a ball ‘out’ unless they can clearly see a space between the line and the ball as it hits the ground.

TIMEOUTS
Teams will each be allotted one 45-second timeout per game. There will also be a 45-second timeout during end change when the first team reaches 8 points.

Players are given one 10-minute medical timeout if a player has to stop playing due to injury. If a player can’t continue to play, the team will default that game.

OTHERS
All game scores will be submitted to DUPR.

Rules not stated here will follow the USAP Official Rulebook 2026.
