welcome to the grid chess club (established august 2026).
a casual over the board chess community around bgc and nearby areas, built around good games, good coffee, and good company.
all levels are welcome. no fees, no rating requirements, and no pressure. we play blitz, rapid, and casual games, with occasional chess960/fischer random, and bughouse for some variety.
we usually meet at cafes around bgc, keeping things relaxed, friendly, and competitive.
if you enjoy chess and want to meet people who do too, pull up a chair and join us across the board.
