This is the heartbeat behind why we do this every week. It's not just about pickleball, it's about showing up for each other, encouraging one another, and letting Christ shine through the way we treat people on the court. Every rally, every conversation, every high-five at the net is a chance to reflect that and glorify our Father in heaven.
So here's what that looks like practically:
🥒 If you're brand new, come as you are. Seriously. We want beginners to feel welcomed, not intimidated.
🥒 Encouragement over ego, every time.
🥒 We're growing together, that means meeting people where they're at.
Now, for those of you who love the competitive side and are working hard to level up, we love that for you too! Just talk to whoever's hosting that day about where you're at and what you're looking for, so they know how to stack you fairly. That said, part of our heart for this club is fostering beginners, so every now and then you might get placed in a match with someone newer than you. We hope you'll see that as an opportunity, not a setback. Some of the best growth (for both players) happens in those matches.
One more thing. Because of match preferences and the order people arrive, you might notice you end up playing with the same folks pretty often. If you're hoping to meet someone new or mix things up, just let the host know! We'd love to help you connect with more people in the club.
