Most pickleball courts have been situated in the Marasbaras, San Jose and Palo areas, which meant players from the northern part of the city had to travel far just to enjoy the sport they love.
So we decided to bring the game closer to home.
North District Pickle Grounds was built with one goal in mind... to make pickleball more accessible to the northern communities of Tacloban and to create a welcoming space where players of all ages and skill levels can gather, stay active, and grow the sport together.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our blessing and grand opening. Your presence and support made this milestone even more meaningful.
This is just the beginning. We look forward to seeing our pickleball family here up North grow, one game at a time.
