Serve and Slay is a recreational pickleball club built for the SLU community. It brings together employees, students, alumni, and non-SLU invited friends who share an interest in staying active, building connections, and enjoying the sport.
The club provides a space for regular play, skill development, and friendly competition. Sessions are usually held at the SLU Main Campus Covered Courts, with occasional games organized in othet courts around the city to expand exposure and access to different playing environments.
Members range from beginners to experienced players. New players receive basic guidance on rules, gameplay, and court etiquette. More experienced players engage in structured matches, mini tournaments, and round robin formats that promote fair and balanced play.
Serve and Slay also aims to strengthen community ties within SLU. It encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and inclusivity. Activities include friendly play sessions, internal tournaments, themed game days, and drills.
The club supports both wellness and social engagement. It promotes physical activity, stress relief, and meaningful interaction outside academic and work settings.
