xpickle started as a completely reasonable and financially questionable idea:
“Hey, what if we built a pickleball court inside our office carpark?”
So we did. Right next to prototypes, tools, engineering discussions, and probably several important work deadlines.
What began as stressed co-workers hitting plastic balls to “relieve tension” slowly evolved into a mildly pickleball-crazy community. Somewhere along the way, productivity became suspicious, and people started casually using terms like “third shot drop” & “banger” in serious conversations.
Since December 2025, we’ve opened our court to players around the PJ area because apparently enabling more addicts felt like the right thing to do.
But xpickle isn’t just about playing games.
We’re here to help people:
* finally get DUPR rated instead of saying “bro I think I’m around 4.2”
* find fair matchups instead of accidental public executions
* improve together through drills, games, encouragement, and occasional emotional damage
Most importantly, we want to create a welcoming, low-pressure space where anyone; from complete beginners to suspiciously sandbaggy “2.9” players can start and grow their DUPR journey.
