This page explains our terms of service. When you use Reclub, you’re agreeing to all the rules.

1. Acceptance and Our Mission

Welcome to Reclub. Reclub is a Public Benefit Corporation (PBC) on a mission to unite the global sports community. We prioritize the health of our athletes and the strength of local sports communities. By using reclub.co (the "Site") or the Reclub mobile application (the "App"), collectively referred to as the "Service," you agree to these Terms.

This is a legally binding contract. If you do not agree to these Terms or our Privacy Policy, you must exit the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Sports Participation and Assumption of Risk

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: PHYSICAL ACTIVITY INVOLVES INHERENT RISKS.

  • Inherent Risk: Participating in sports involves inherent risks of serious physical injury, permanent disability, or death.
  • No Inspection: Reclub is a discovery platform, not a sports facility. We do not inspect or guarantee the safety of any venue, equipment, or organizers.
  • Assumption of Risk: You voluntarily assume all risks associated with any "Meet," "Club," or event. You are responsible for determining your fitness for play and inspecting the safety of any venue.

3. Neutral Venue and Organizer Relationship

Our Service is a neutral platform. Club organizers, coaches, and hosts are independent users and are not employees or agents of Reclub. We do not perform background checks; you are responsible for your own safety precautions when meeting in person.

4. Club Payments and Receipt Uploads

To assist with community organization, users may upload "Payment Receipts" to track shared expenses.

  • Off-Platform Transactions: All financial transactions occur strictly off-platform (e.g., cash, Venmo). Reclub is not a payment processor.
  • No Refunds: Reclub cannot provide refunds or resolve payment disputes between users. Disputes must be settled directly with the organizer.

5. Fees and Subscriptions

The App is supported by advertising and premium "Supporter" subscriptions. All billing is handled via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled 24 hours before the period ends. All purchases are final.


6. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to engage in, or attempt to engage in, any of the following prohibited activities:

6.1 Behavioral Misconduct and Platform Integrity

  • Abuse & Harassment: Harassing, stalking, threatening, or defaming other users.
  • Deceptive Solicitation: Engaging in "social engineering" or fraudulent relationship-building for financial scams.
  • Platform Poaching: Repeatedly promoting outside events or competing clubs within another club's message boards or "Moments" feed. You must respect the wishes of Club Admins regarding restrictions on such promotions.
  • Spam: Engaging in unauthorized commercial solicitations or bulk messaging.

6.2 Data and API Misuse

  • Unauthorized Extraction: Using any automated process (robots, scrapers) or manual harvesting to monitor or copy Service content.
  • API Restrictions: Accessing the Service through any undocumented API without express written permission.
  • AI & Machine Learning: Using any Service content, statistics, or user data to train, tune, or inform any machine learning or artificial intelligence models.

6.3 Fraud and Deceptive Practices

  • Placeholder & "Bait" Accounts: Adding accounts to a Meet as placeholders to make it appear full or more active is a breach of community trust and corrupts platform data.
  • Overlapping Sign-ups: Players may not repeatedly sign up for multiple meets occurring at the same or conflicting times at different locations.
  • Account Integrity: Creating multiple accounts to circumvent bans, manipulate "Kudos" scores, or artificially inflate club popularity.

6.4 Meet Listing Standards & Categorization

To preserve the Discover feed, all listings must be accurate:

  • Proper Categorization: Coaching (including 1-1s) must be marked as "Class." Equipment rentals or drills must be marked as "Training." They must not be marked as "Social" or "Round Robin."
  • Sport Accuracy: Meets must be listed under the correct sport category. Intentionally miscategorizing a meet (e.g., promoting Jet Skis using a "Padel" or other popular sport label) to manipulate search results or visibility is strictly prohibited.
  • Discover Feed Hygiene: Users may not spam the Discover page with hourly or excessive listings. If using Reclub for private/commercial management, listings must be set to "Private."

6.5 Enforcement & Penalties

Reclub reserves the right to investigate any report of a violation. Penalties include:

  • Warnings: Issuance of formal warnings regarding violating behavior or content.
  • Content Removal: Immediate deletion of violating listings or photos.
  • Account Restrictions: Suspension of messaging or permanent banning of accounts/IPs.
  • Promotion Restrictions: Clubs facilitating deceptive behavior may lose privileges to appear in search results.

7. User-Generated Content (UGC) & Photo Uploads

This section applies to all photos and content you upload to venues, clubs, "Moments," or event listings.

  • 7.1 Ownership & License: By uploading photos to the Service, you retain ownership of your copyright. However, you grant Reclub a non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and ongoing license to host, store, use, display, reproduce, and distribute these photos across our platform.
  • 7.2 Attribution: Reclub will make reasonable efforts to provide credit to the uploader via their profile name, though you acknowledge that technical constraints may occasionally limit this display.
  • 7.3 Warranties: You represent and warrant that:
    1. You own the photo or have the necessary permissions from the owner to share it.
    2. The photo does not violate any third-party rights (intellectual property, privacy, or publicity).
    3. The photo does not contain prohibited content or violate our Community Guidelines.
  • 7.4 Removal Rights: Reclub reserves the right to remove any photo at our sole discretion if we believe it violates these Terms, is of low quality, or is otherwise inappropriate.
  • 7.5 Location Data: We track your location only while the App is open and in use to help you find nearby games.

8. Intellectual Property and Data Ownership

  • 8.1 Proprietary Rights: All Service contents—including software, code, aggregated statistics, match history, user directories, and the "look and feel" of the Service—are the exclusive property of Reclub PBC.
  • 8.2 Strict Prohibition on Data Extraction: You are strictly prohibited from extracting or reproducing platform data for commercial, competitive, or AI-training purposes.
  • 8.3 Limited License for Club Admins: Admins have a limited, revocable license to use summary data or screenshots exclusively from their own managed club(s) for non-commercial promotion or internal recognition.
  • 8.4 Data Requests: Any access exceeding "normal human use" is a violation. For licensing, contact help@reclub.co with the subject "DATA ACCESS REQUEST."

9. Disclaimer of Warranty; Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "As Is." Reclub shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including physical injury, arising from your use of the Service.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, with jurisdiction in St. Johns County.


11. Club Dormancy and Inactivity

To ensure high-quality discovery for our community, a club may be considered dormant if:

  • Quality of Listings: A significant percentage of its meets appearing on the Discover page or search results have zero participants, or the only participants are the hosts.
  • Admin Activity: The club exhibits limited login or "ping" behavior from its administrators.
  • Inactivity Thresholds:
    • 90 Days: Reclub may pause or remove automated meet scheduling for clubs meeting these dormancy criteria for more than 90 days.
    • 180 Days: Should a club remain dormant for more than 180 days, Reclub may change the club status to "Inactive," at which point it will no longer appear in search results or the Discover page.
