To promote fair play and equal opportunity in the Men’s Doubles Novice category, the following eligibility guidelines shall apply:

🎃 MEN’S DOUBLES — NOVICE 🎃

1. Previous Podium Finish

A pair is NOT eligible for the Novice category if both players have previously achieved a podium finish in any qualifying pickleball tournament.
This applies regardless of whether they achieved the podium together or with different partners.
👉 Only ONE previous podium finisher may be part of a Novice pair.

Examples:

Example 1
• Player A — Previous podium finisher
• Player B — No previous podium finish
✅ ELIGIBLE

Example 2
• Player A — Previous podium finisher
• Player B — Previous podium finisher
❌ NOT ELIGIBLE

Example 3
• Player A — No previous podium finish
• Player B — No previous podium finish
✅ ELIGIBLE


EXCLUDED:

1. Podium finishes from Dual Meet and Inter Club events will NOT be counted for purposes of this Novice eligibility rule.


2. Players who have previously participated in a higher category or skill level are NOT eligible to participate in the Men’s Doubles Novice category.
