At Reclub PBC, your privacy is a core part of our mission to build a healthy sports community. As a Public Benefit Corporation, we believe in transparency. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.
1. Information We Collect
- Account Data: Name, email, username, and password.
- Sports Profile: Skill levels (including DUPR), sports interests, and "Kudos."
- Match & Gameplay Data: We collect and store match results, game scores, points, and participation history.
- Derived Data & Insights: Based on your participation and match results, we may derive and store match ratings, player rankings, skill levels, and other performance insights.
- Location Data: GPS location only while the app is in use to show you nearby games.
- User Content & Visual Data: Photos, match comments, and payment receipts you upload. When you upload a photo, we store the image file and may also collect associated metadata (such as the time and location the photo was taken, if your device settings allow it) to verify venue locations and improve the user experience.
- Device Data: IP address and device ID for security and performance.
Public vs. Private Data: Information regarding "Public" games, including scores, stats, results, and participation, is considered public platform data. Information regarding "Private" games is restricted to the participants and the relevant Club Admin.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Matchmaking & Community: Connecting you with local players and clubs using your profile, rankings, and ratings to suggest fair matchups.
- Communication: Sending game reminders and club updates.
- Security: Protecting our community from fraud, spam, and unauthorized access.
- Analytics & Insights: We use platform data, match results, and gameplay points to generate community leaderboards, player statistics, and activity trends. This includes creating derivative content, such as shareable "Player Cards," club performance graphics, and community milestone reports.
- PBC Impact Reporting: We aggregate data to measure our progress in increasing global sports participation and health.
3. Sharing and Disclosure
- With Other Users: Your profile, skill level, and public match history are visible to facilitate fair play and community leaderboards.
- Public Visual Content: Photos uploaded to venues or events are considered public content. This means they are visible to other users of the platform and may be associated with your Reclub profile name.
- Partner Events & Sponsored Leagues: From time to time, Reclub partners with brands or associations to host specific leagues, tournaments, or events. Where a Meet or Club description clearly states that data will be shared with a partner, your participation in that event or membership in that club constitutes consent to share your relevant profile data with that partner.
- Associations & Governing Bodies: We may share aggregated, anonymized data with sports associations to provide industry insights.
- Organizers & Community Leads: We provide club organizers with statistical tools and shareable graphics to help them manage and promote their local sports communities.
- No Sale of PII: Except for the specific event-based consent described above, we do not sell your personally identifiable information (PII) to third parties.
- Service Providers: We share data with trusted partners (e.g., Google Maps, AWS) strictly to provide our Service.
4. Your Rights and Control
- Access & Export: You can request a copy of your data at any time.
- Correction/Deletion: You can update your info or delete your account via App Settings.
- Retention Note: If you choose to delete your account, we may retain photos you have uploaded to public venues to maintain the historical record of that venue, though your name will be removed or anonymized unless you explicitly request the removal of the content.
- Privacy Settings: You can mark specific games as "Private" to exclude those stats from public leaderboards.
- Location Opt-Out: You can disable location services via your device settings at any time.
5. Security and Retention
We use industry-standard encryption. We retain your information as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, it enters a 30-day grace period during which you can reactivate it. After 30 days, your personal data — including your email, profile, connections, group memberships, and other account data — is permanently removed. Anonymized, aggregated data points may remain in historical reports.
