✅ PLAYER QUALIFICATIONS

To ensure a fair Beginner to Novice competition, all participants must meet the following:

1. Both players must be Beginner to Novice level.
2. A pair may have only ONE (1) player with a previous Novice-category podium finish in a formal competitive tournament (1st, 2nd, or 3rd place). Dual meets excluded.
3. A pair is not eligible if both players have previous Novice-category podium finishes in a formal competitive tournament. Dual meets excluded.
4. Players with an established Intermediate (3.0+) or higher skill level are not eligible.
5. No sandbagging. The organizers reserve the right to review and assess player eligibility before or during the tournament.

ELIMINATION ROUND
• 24 pairs divided into 4 groups of 6
• Round-robin format
• Each pair plays 5 games
• 15-minute games
• No Deuce
• Win by Serve
• Top 2 pairs from each group advance to the Quarterfinals

QUARTERFINALS
• 8 pairs
• 15-minute games
• No Deuce
• Win by Serve

SEMIFINALS
• 4 pairs
• No time limit
• With Deuce

FINALS 🏆
• 2 pairs
• No time limit
• With Deuce

📊 RANKING & TIE-BREAKER

Standings will be determined by:

1️⃣ Number of Wins
2️⃣ Point Difference — in case of a tie in wins

Point Difference = Total Points Scored − Total Points Allowed

🚫 NO SANDBAGGING

This tournament is strictly for Beginner and Novice-level players.

We want to keep the competition fair, fun, and enjoyable for everyone, so sandbagging will not be tolerated.

If it is determined that a player's skill level is not appropriate for the tournament category, the organizer reserves the right to disqualify the player/pair.

⚠️ In case of disqualification due to inappropriate skill level, the registration fee will be forfeited.

The organizer's assessment and decision regarding player eligibility will be final.
