Level: Intermediate to Advanced
1. Game Format
1. Doubles games only.
2. Use side-out scoring to 11 points.
3. At 10–10, the next point wins.
4. No deuce or win-by-two.
5. Follow standard pickleball rules, including the two-bounce rule and Non-Volley Zone (Kitchen) rules.
2. Court Rotation System
* Use paddle stacking with a win-win, lose-lose rotation.
* Two games are played simultaneously.
* Regularly mix partners and opponents.
* No fixed teams.
Rotation Sequence
1. Place paddles in the waiting stack in arrival order.
2. The next four paddles enter the first available court.
3. The next four paddles enter the second available court.
4. After each game:
* The winning team stays together for one additional game.
* The losing team rotates off.
* The next four waiting players enter the court.
5. After playing two consecutive games, all four players rotate off.
6. Rotating players place their paddles at the end of the stack.
7. Continue until the 3-hour session ends.
3. Waiting Players
1. Be ready when a court becomes available.
2. Enter the court in paddle-stack order.
3. Do not hold a spot or skip your turn.
4. If you leave the rotation, place your paddle at the end of the stack when you return.
5. Keep personal belongings away from the courts and waiting area.
4. Game Etiquette
* Make honest and respectful line calls.
* If unsure about a line call, give the benefit of the doubt to your opponent.
* If players disagree about a call, replay the point.
* Respect all players, regardless of skill level.
* Avoid coaching unless your partner asks.
* Retrieve balls quickly and begin the next rally promptly.
* Keep discussions brief so games can continue smoothly.
5. Player Expectations
Players should:
* Know basic pickleball rules and scoring.
* Maintain a reasonable pace of play.
* Understand Kitchen and volley rules.
* Be comfortable playing with different partners and opponents.
* Play competitively while maintaining a friendly atmosphere.
6. Safety
1. Warm up before the first game.
2. Do not use court time for a warm-up before the second game.
3. Avoid reckless shots and unnecessary contact.
4. Call “Ball!” loudly if another ball enters the court.
5. Stop play immediately when a ball enters your court.
6. Stay hydrated and take breaks as needed.
7. Sportsmanship
Play hard. Play fair. Have fun.
The goal is to keep everyone playing, meet new players, improve, and enjoy the 3-hour session.
