⏰ Playing Schedule & Batch Assignments

The 12 participants will be divided into TWO BATCHES, with 6 players assigned to each 2-hour session.

🏓 BATCH 1: 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM

* 6 players
* Singles Round Robin
* 5 matches per player
* 15 total matches

🏓 BATCH 2: 10:00 PM – 12:00 Midnight

* Singles Round Robin
* 5 matches per player
* 15 total matches

Players must be ready and available during their assigned batch. Match schedules may be adjusted depending on actual game duration and court availability.

🎾 Event Format & Scoring

A SINGLES ROUND ROBIN format will be followed.

* Every player will compete against all 5 other players within their assigned batch.
* Each player is guaranteed 5 scheduled round-robin matches, provided the batch proceeds as planned.
* Scoring: RALLY POINT SYSTEM
* First to 15 points wins.
* Every rally earns a point, regardless of who serves.
* SUDDEN DEATH AT 14–14: The next player to score a point wins the match, 15–14. No two-point advantage is required.
* No traditional side-out scoring will be used.

This faster scoring format aims to ensure quicker matches, smoother rotations, and shorter waiting times.

🏟️ Court Allocation

To maintain efficient gameplay while accommodating regular Open Play participants:

* Court 1: Exclusively reserved for DUPR Singles matches throughout the event.
* Court 2: May be used alternately for DUPR Singles and regular Open Play, depending on court availability and Open Play attendance.
* If Open Play attendance is low, two courts may be used simultaneously for DUPR Singles to speed up match completion.
* If Open Play attendance is high, the second court will be shared or prioritized for regular Open Play as needed.

Court allocation and match sequencing will be managed by the event hosts to ensure fair and efficient use of available courts.

🏆 Optional Championship & Bronze Matches

After both batches complete their respective round-robin matches, the following matches MAY be held:

🥇 GOLD & SILVER – CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH

Batch 1 Rank #1 vs. Batch 2 Rank #1

* Winner: GOLD / Champion
* Runner-up: SILVER / 2nd Place

🥉 BRONZE – THIRD PLACE MATCH

Batch 1 Rank #2 vs. Batch 2 Rank #2

* Winner: BRONZE / 3rd Place

⚠️ IMPORTANT: These final matches are OPTIONAL and will proceed only if time permits, courts are available, and all qualified players are present and willing to participate.

Players from Batch 1 who qualify for these matches must be willing to remain until Batch 2 finishes.

If the final matches cannot be held, individual batch standings will remain valid, but no overall Gold, Silver, or Bronze winners will be declared.
