BEGINNER–NOVICE OPEN PLAY | COURT RULES 💚

Welcome to The Kitchen Crew! Our goal is to have fun, improve our skills, and enjoy a friendly and respectful pickleball community.

1. Registration and Payment

* Strictly no lock-in. Your slot is confirmed only after payment.
* Slots are on a first-pay, first-served basis.
* Payment must be made through GCash.
* Please send your payment confirmation to the organizer after paying.
* No payment, no slot.

2. Be on Time

* Please arrive 10–15 minutes before your scheduled play.
* Check in with the organizer upon arrival.

3. Respect All Players

* Be friendly, courteous, and respectful.
* No trash talk, arguments, or unsportsmanlike behavior.
* Remember: we are here to learn, improve, and have fun!

4. Follow Court Rotation

* Follow the organizer’s instructions for court rotation.
* Be mindful of other players waiting for their turn.
* Avoid occupying the court beyond your scheduled game.

5. Game Format and Winning Condition

* The first player or team to reach 11 points is considered the winner.
* Games may end immediately once a player or team reaches 11 points.
* Follow the organizer’s instructions regarding matchups, court assignments, and rotation.
* All players must respect the official score and the organizer’s decisions.

6. Know the Basic Rules

* Follow the basic rules of pickleball, including the two-bounce rule and kitchen rules.
* Call your own lines honestly and give opponents the benefit of the doubt when unsure.
* If there is a disagreement, ask the organizer for assistance.

7. Awards and Next Open Play Benefits

* Top 1 Winner: Medal and free entry to the next Open Play.
* Top 2: Medal and 50% off the next Open Play.
* Top 3: Medal and 30% off the next Open Play.
* Discounts and free entry are valid for the awarded player only and may not be transferred.
* Winners must claim their reward during the next Open Play registration.

8. Safety First

* Wear appropriate court shoes.
* Avoid entering another court while a rally is ongoing.
* Call “BALL!” if a stray ball enters another court.
* Stay hydrated and take breaks when needed.

9. Bring Your Own Water 💧

* All players must bring their own water bottles.
* Please stay hydrated throughout the session.

10. Snacks Are on Us! 🍌🍬

* The Kitchen Crew will provide bananas and candies for our players.
* Please enjoy responsibly and help keep the area clean.

11. Keep the Court Clean

* Dispose of your trash properly.
* Take care of your personal belongings and the court facilities.

12. Beginner-Friendly Environment

* All beginner and novice players are welcome.
* Be patient with yourself and others.
* Encourage fellow players and celebrate progress, not just winning.

13. Have Fun and Dink Responsibly!

* Play fair, support one another, and enjoy every rally.
* Let’s build a fun, welcoming, and positive pickleball community!
