An Introduction to the Basic Rules & Open Play System of Pickleball

Welcome to our first Dink & Drink by Perfect Cup Private Open Play! 🎉

This exclusive session for the LPPH × Perfect Cup Community is designed as a beginner-friendly introduction to pickleball—helping everyone become familiar with the basic rules, mechanics, and flow of a Pickleball Open Play session.

Our goal is simple: learn the game, understand how Open Play works, and most importantly—have fun together. 🏓💙

📌 RULES & REQUIREMENTS

1. 🏓 Bring Your Paddle

Please bring your own paddle.

You may also:

- Borrow a paddle from a friend; or
- Rent a paddle for ₱50/hour

2. 🎟️ CONFIRMED SLOT = PLAY

Please make sure your slot is confirmed before attending.

No confirmed slot, no play.

This helps us properly manage the number of players and court rotations.

3. 🚭 NO SMOKING & ALCOHOL

Strictly NO smoking and NO drinking of alcoholic beverages during the session.

Let's keep the court safe, clean, and welcoming for everyone.

🕗 SESSION OUTLINE

8:00–8:30 PM

Meet & Greet • Group Orientation • Player Assessment

Get to know your fellow players, understand how the session will work, and identify everyone's playing experience.

8:30–9:00 PM

Basic Introduction to Pickleball

We'll cover the fundamental:

- Rules
- Scoring
- Court positioning
- Serving
- Dinking
- Basic mechanics
- Open Play etiquette

9:00–11:00 PM

Demonstration & Guided Play

We'll demonstrate how Open Play works, followed by guided games and rotations.

🤝 BEGINNER-FRIENDLY REMINDER

Some of us will be holding a pickleball paddle for the very first time.

Let's make this a welcoming space for everyone.

If you already know how to play, help guide—not intimidate. 🙌

Be patient with beginners, explain when needed, and help them understand the flow of the game.

Everyone was a beginner once.

Our goal is to build a community where people can learn, play, improve, and enjoy the game together. 💙
