FIRST TIMER:
You have either never picked up a racket before, or you've only played once or twice for fun in the backyard

NEWBIE:
You know what tennis is and you've played a few times. You understand the very basic rules (like the ball can only bounce once), but you still struggle with consistency.

BEGINNER:
You’ve taken a few lessons or played enough to get the ball over the net somewhat consistently. You know how to keep score, you know where to stand, and you can attempt a basic serve.
