MEN’S INT–ADV OPEN PLAY 🏓
RNR Invitational

Open to RNR members and non-members.

Strictly for Intermediate to Advanced players — including the sandbaggers who know exactly who they are. 😏

Quality games. Competitive matchups. Let’s play.

🏓 BAKBAKAN NIGHT — GAME RULES

Standard pickleball rules apply unless stated below. Play fair. Be honest. Have fun.

• Partners may be locked in.
• Race to 11 • Win by 1 • Sudden Death — No Deuce
• Games officially start at 6:00 PM. Last call for matches: 11:59 PM.
• Every completed game counts toward determining the Top 1 Player of the Night.
• Please warm up before your match. A maximum of 1 minute of dinking/warm-up on court is allowed when needed.
• No line-up requests. We’ll do our best to create fair, competitive, and varied matchups.
• Not satisfied with consecutive line-ups? Just approach me and we’ll see what adjustment can reasonably be made.
• 40-hole pickleballs are our standard match balls and will be dispatched to the courts. Want to try the 48-hole ball? Just request one — it may be used as long as all players in the match agree.
• Optional in case of disagreement: Change courts at 6 points. Determine first serve by playing for serve or Jack n’ Poy.
• Requests accompanied by an additional fee or “lagay” are still under deliberation. 😜

📊 EXPERIMENTAL RNR RANKING

Bakbakan Night results will also serve as data for our experimental RNR Ranking System.

The goal is to explore how actual game results, individual performance, different partners, and different opponents can be reflected in a fairer and more meaningful ranking system.

It’s still experimental. We’ll review the results after each session, learn from the data, make adjustments when needed, and see how the system develops.

COME EARLY. GO HOME LATE.
Every game counts. 🏓
