🏓 APC Organized Openplay: Rules and Guidelines

🕒 Schedule & Attendance

Time and Format:
Openplay runs for 3hrs on a rotation basis. 1 court, 12 players only.

Cancellation & No-Show Policy:
Players who cancel late or fail to attend will be noted. Succeeding non-appearance without valid notice will face penalties (such as suspension from booking the next openplay session).

Session Wrap-Up:
The organizers will call for "Last Games" 10 minutes before the end of the session. No new games may start after this call.

💰 Registration & Fees

No Pay, No Play:
A fee of ₱150 per player must be paid before stepping onto the court. Slots are only confirmed upon payment.

🔄 Game Rotation & Paddle Stacking

Opening Games:
The very first games of the night will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Succeeding Matches:
To keep games competitive and fair, rotation follows a Winner vs. Winner and Loser vs. Loser format.

Stacking Integrity:
Only designated organizers are allowed to manage the paddle queue. No player is permitted to move, re-order, or change the stacking while games are ongoing.


⚖️ Gameplay & Scoring Rules

Standard Scoring:
Games are played to 11 points, sudden death.

Warm-up Limit:
To respect players waiting in line, on-court warm-ups for succeeding games are limited to a maximum of 2 minutes.

Line Calls:
Players call the balls on their own side of the net. Be honest and fair—if a ball is 99% out, it is 100% in. If you are unsure, the benefit of the doubt goes to your opponent.

🤝 Court Courtesy & Safety

On-Court Safety

Ball On Court:
If a stray ball enters your court from an adjacent game, stop play immediately, yell "Ball on Court," and replay the point. Never chase your ball onto another active court.

Crossing Courts:
Never walk behind or cross an active court while a rally is in progress. Wait until the point is finished before passing.

Sportsmanship:
Always introduce yourself to unfamiliar players before the match begins. End every match with a friendly paddle tap and a thank you to your partners and opponents.
