Please read everything before registering. These guidelines help keep our open play fair, safe, and enjoyable for everyone.


‼️ This is a beginner-friendly open play, not an introductory clinic.

Participants are expected to:

* Know the basic rules of pickleball.
* Understand scoring.
* Be able to serve and rally.
* Have played at least a few games before.

If it’s your first time playing pickleball or you haven’t learned the basics yet, we recommend attending a beginner lesson or clinic first before joining our open play.


📝 REGISTRATION, PAYMENT & CANCELLATION

* No walk-ins. Payment first.
* Your slot is confirmed only after your registration and payment have been reviewed and acknowledged by the organizers.
* After payment, kindly send a screenshot of your transaction for verification.
* Contributions are non-refundable since court fees are paid in advance.
* If you can no longer attend, you may transfer your slot to another player. Please notify the organizers so we can update the participant list.

🏓 GAMEPLAY & MATCHES

Before Play

* Complete the Skill Assessment Form before play starts. This will be used for the initial player assignment.
* Pairings and match assignments are randomly generated through InstaCourt. Manual pairing or partner requests cannot be accommodated.
* Organizers may regroup players based on skill level, attendance, and gameplay flow to keep matches balanced and enjoyable.

During Play

* Games are Race to 11. No deuce, unless otherwise announced.
* Proceed to your assigned court as soon as your match is called.
* The next match in queue may also be announced in advance.
* Players have 1 minute to report. Unclaimed slots may be given to another player.
* Starting at 8:00 PM, please avoid extended dinking or kitchen drills before each game to maximize playing time.
* Nasty Nelson points will not be counted. 😄
* In or out calls are decided by the players on the court. If there’s any doubt, resolve it with good sportsmanship.
* Respect your partner, opponents, organizers, and everyone sharing the courts.

📍 VENUE & SAFETY

* Paddle rentals, parking, showers, and other amenities are managed by the venue. Availability, fees, and policies may vary.
* Participation is voluntary and at your own risk.
* The organizers are not liable for any injury, accident, loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings before, during, or after the event.

🤝 COMMUNITY & MEDIA

* Help us keep TOC a safe, welcoming, and respectful community.
* Photos and videos may be taken for community documentation and promotional purposes.
* If you prefer not to appear, please inform the organizers before the event.
* Please respect everyone’s privacy by asking for consent before taking close-up photos or videos for personal use or social media.
* The organizers reserve the right to decline or remove participants whose behavior does not align with our community standards.
* If a paid registration is declined by the organizers, the payment will be fully refunded.
