⭐️ Sterling Open Play+

Same great open play, minus the paddle rack chaos. Sterling Open Play+ uses an app to keep turns fair, games competitive, and matchups fresh throughout the night. Expect quality games, plenty of variety, and less waiting.

Players should have a DUPR of 2.25 or equivalent playing ability. New beginners aren’t suited to this event: you should know the rules, be able to serve and return, and sustain a rally.

Games start as soon as four players are checked in. On the open courts, games go to 11, win by 1. When a court finishes, the host enters the score and the TV calls out the next players and their court. Scan the QR code to see your place in line, estimated wait, and court, and get an alert when you’re called. No paddle rack needed for open play.

Want a tougher game? Court 3 is the Advanced Challenge Court: winners stay on, games go to 7, win by 1. Add your paddle to the challenge rack by the desk, and the TV will show who’s next.

Want to play with your partner, a group, or specific players? Ask the host to put you on together. You’ll join the line as a group without skipping ahead. Need a break? Let the host know and they can pause you in the queue. Tell them when you’re ready to jump back in.

The app also includes a leaderboard and a fun rating system with Thai spice levels as an alternative to DUPR. This isn’t a DUPR event; results aren’t sent to DUPR.
