🏆 Tournament Rules (Blind Pairing Format)
To ensure everyone has a blast and the games stay balanced, we will follow these guidelines:
1. The "Blind Pairing" System
• No Fixed Partners: You do not sign up with a partner.
• Random Draw: Before each round, players will draw a number or name to determine their partner and opponents for that specific match.
• Individual Scoring: You earn points as an individual. Even though you play as a duo, your wins/points stay with you as you move to the next partner.
2. Match Format
• Scoring: Games are played to 11 points (win by 2) or a 15-minute time limit, whichever comes first.
• Switching Sides: Teams switch sides when one team reaches 6 points to account for any lighting or court variations.
3. Ranking & Playoffs
• Point Accumulation: Your total points from all rounds will be tallied.
• The Final Four: The top 4 individual point-earners at the end of the round-robin phase will play in the Championship Match.
• Tie-Breakers: In case of a point tie, the player with the fewest points allowed (defensive record) will take the higher seed.
4. General Conduct
• All-Girls Environment: This is a supportive, high-energy environment. Good sportsmanship is mandatory!
• Equipment: Standard USAPA rules apply. Please bring your own paddle; balls will be provided.
