MVVC - Late Night Reversed Coed

When registering for any meet or event, you are agreeing to the following terms outlined in the Release of Liability ("Waiver") between the undersigned participant, hereafter referred to as the "Participant," and Mountain View Volleyball Club, Open Gyms/Adult Leagues, hereafter referred to as the "Organization."

Assumption of Risk:

I, the undersigned Participant, acknowledge and understand that participating in [sport/activity] involves inherent risks, including but not limited to, the risk of injury or death. I understand that these risks may arise from my own actions, the actions of other participants, the conditions of the facilities, and the negligence of the Organization.

Release and Waiver:

In consideration of being allowed to participate in [sport/activity], I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the Organization, its officers, employees, volunteers, agents, and representatives (collectively referred to as "Releasees") from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action for personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death arising out of my participation in the activity.

Indemnification:

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Organization and its Releasees from any loss, liability, damage, or costs, including court costs and attorney's fees, that may be incurred as a result of my participation in [sport/activity], whether caused by the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise.

Medical Treatment Authorization:

I understand and acknowledge that the Organization does not provide medical insurance coverage for participants. In the event of an injury or medical emergency, I authorize the Organization to obtain medical treatment for me and release the Organization from any liability associated with such treatment.

Acknowledgment of Understanding:

I have read this Waiver and fully understand its terms. I am aware that, by signing this Waiver, I am waiving certain legal rights, including the right to sue. I voluntarily agree to the terms and conditions stated herein.

If you are under the age of 18, it is a requirement that a parent or legal guardian must sign an in-person waiver on your behalf. This ensures that a responsible adult acknowledges and consents to the terms outlined in the waiver, recognizing the inherent risks associated with the activity and releasing the organization from liability. This additional step is in place to safeguard the rights and well-being of minors participating in the event.

Failure to adhere to the requirement of having a parent or guardian sign the in-person waiver for participants under the age of 18 will result in a ban. Individuals who do not comply with this prerequisite will not be allowed to attend or participate in future events. This measure is in place to prioritize the safety and legal considerations associated with minors participating in activities organized by the event or organization.

Full Team Registration Instructions:

1. List Team Members:

List all team members in the meet chat, ensuring that each member has requested to join and that they are tagged using @.

2. Single Transaction Payment:

Pay for the entire team in a single transaction using Venmo, Zelle, or Paypal. Ensure the payment amount corresponds to the total for the entire team.

3. Notification in Meet Chat:

Notify in the meet chat once the payment is completed. Additionally, provide a screenshot of the payment receipt to the host(s) as verification.

4. Confirmation and Team Captaincy:

Once payment is confirmed, the individual who made the payment becomes the designated team captain. The team captain holds the authority to assign team colors to players.

This streamlined process ensures efficient registration and coordination for full teams participating in the event.

Note: Complete teams have priority over incomplete teams and free agents. Feel free to connect with other players in the event to fill your roster.

Game Format:
Reverse-Coed 6s:
Male players are permitted to hit from the 10-foot line, adding an exciting dynamic to the game.

Fun Rule:
An entertaining twist! When a male hitter is blocked by a female, the blocking team earns 2 points.

Standard Rules and Self-Refereed Games:

All standard volleyball rules apply, and games will be self-refereed by the participating teams.

Important Notes:

Punctuality: Please arrive on time to ensure a smooth start to the event.

If you’re going to be late, please notify your captain or host.

RSVP Reminder: If you haven't RSVP'd in advance, participation may not be guaranteed upon arrival.

Lastly, it is essential to emphasize that this gathering is intended as an open gym rather than a tournament. Participants are urged to exhibit sportsmanship, be courteous to one another, and, above all, enjoy the experience.
