🎬 Mission Briefing: Operation Side-Out

Agents,

The rotating doubles matches for this Saturday have been generated. Alliances will shift as you play with rotating partners, with a target of 6 games per player over 9 rounds

Standings will be determined by Pts % — every rally matters.

For this mission we deploy traditional side-out scoring.

Rules of Engagement
• Each game begins at 0-0-2.
• Only the serving team can score points. The score is called as three numbers (e.g., 0-0-2): serving team score – receiving team score – server number. The last digit (1 or 2) indicates whether it’s the first or second server on that team.
• Only the serving team can score points.
• If the receiving team wins the rally, the score remains unchanged and the serve moves to the second server.
• When the second server loses the rally, a side-out is declared and the opposing team gains the serve.

This classic scoring system is still widely used across United States, Australia, Vietnamand Japan, so mastering it gives you the flexibility to play anywhere your pickleball missions take you.

Study the protocol.
Warm up your paddles.

Mission commences Saturday. 🏓

📝 Match Format & Rules
• Side-out to 11. Win by 2.
• Line calls (receiving team): space = OUT; unsure = IN

• Disputes — replay if needed
• Announce score before each serve
• Wrong-side serve = fault (help each other check)
• 📸 Photos may be taken
